Authentic Eel Sauce
Also known as Unagi Sauce, this “Authentic Eel Sauce” is a sweet and salty glaze / marinade that can be used in a variety of ways. Think of it like a thick, sweet teriyaki. In sushi bars it is commonly lacquered onto cooked eel or drizzled atop caterpillar rolls and other creations. It is a great grilling sauce for meaty fish, such as swordfish, salmon and tuna, as well as steak, chicken and vegetables. Try on yellowtail fish collars for an out-of-this-world hamachi kama, or with your fried rice or stir fry.
Note: The term unagi is the Japanese translation for eel. Although this product is called Eel Sauce, it does NOT contain eel. Produced by Nippon Shokken U.S.
