Huy Fong Sriracha Sauce (9oz)
If you're making spicy tuna rolls, spicy mayo for scallops rolls or other types of sushi that call for a kick of heat, sriracha is key! This flavorful, well-recognized sauce is made from sun-ripened chilies ground into a smooth paste with distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. Just a small amount goes a long way without being overly hot. Don't limit yourself to only using this sauce with sushi, though. Sriracha is perfect for spicing up Asian soups, stir fries, noodle dishes, eggs and so much more. It pretty much goes with anything you might put hot sauce on!
Fun Fact: Sriracha, also known as "rooster sauce," was created in the late '80s by Chinese immigrant from Vietnam David Tran. David was born in 1945, the Year of the Rooster in the Chinese zodiac, which is what influenced brand's bright red color and its packaging: a clear plastic bottle with a green cap, text in Vietnamese, English, Chinese and Spanish, and the rooster logo.
