Frozen Black Cod Liver (Ankimo Style) Approx. 250g pack
Monkfish liver or "ankimo" is a popular item in sushi bars. We offer monkfish liver from Azuma Foods; however, we now also offer our own "ankimo-style" liver using black cod liver.
This product is a great example of how at Catalina Offshore Products we utilize the whole fish whenever possible. We receive fresh, wild California black cod (sablefish) in our facility where we fillet it for sale in our fish market and online store. The liver would normally be thrown away, but instead we reserve it while it is still fresh. It is then processed with soy and sake in the traditional ankimo style. Shipping fully cooked and frozen, our ankimo-style black cod liver is ready to thaw and enjoy. We recommend slicing and topping with ponzu, grated daikon and chili flakes. Delicious!
